Cudahy Council directs City Attorney on 5200 S. Barland Ave. after closed session; approves ordinances, appointments and permits

Mayor John Hohenfeldt called the Common Council of the City of Cudahy to order at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2015. After completing roll call, the council approved a consent agenda that included minutes, committee minutes and claims totaling $1,633,562.15.
The council then moved into closed session under Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchase of public property and the investment of public funds regarding 5200 S. Barland Avenue. The council reconvened in open session at about 7:15 p.m. and, on a subsequent motion, directed the City Attorney to "deliberate for the investment of public funds" related to 5200 S. The council approved a peddler license request from Anthony Adams for AT&T Services and granted a parade permit and fee waiver for Cudahy High School's Homecoming Parade, scheduled for Sept. 25, 2015. The council also approved Resolution No. 6972, a certified survey map for Miroslav and Dafina Trifunovich for property at 3723 E. Squire Avenue.
During the public-comment period, Robert Escoban of 4550 S. Nicholson Ave. spoke regarding the city's website. The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:27 p.m.; the minutes were passed and approved the same day by Mayor John Hohenfeldt and attested by Clerk Treasurer Dennis Broderick.
