Beardstown City Council approves library appointments and equipment lease

In a separate motion, Alderperson Dawn Seward moved and Alderperson Eric Harbin seconded the appointment of Brook Thurman and Elvia Montoya to the Beardstown Huston Memorial Library Board of Directors. The council approved both appointments by voice vote.
The council also approved a lease agreement between the City of Beardstown and Martin Equipment. The motion, moved by Alderperson Allie Dawson (recorded as Dawson-Hoenes) and seconded by Alderperson Eric Harbin, authorizes an annual lease payment of $22,949.05 beginning in February 2027. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
