Beardstown council approves minutes, consent agenda and adjourns

During its Jan. 20 meeting the Beardstown City Council unanimously approved routine procedural items including a motion to dispense with the reading of the Jan. 6 minutes and to approve them with the correction that Alderperson Eric Harbin made the motion. The motion to dispense with the reading was moved by Alderperson Allie Dawson-Hoenes and seconded by Alderperson Lisa Buhlig; it passed by voice vote.
Under the meeting’s Omnibus Vote Designation, Alderperson Allie Dawson-Hoenes moved and Alderperson Dawn Seward seconded approval of the Consent Agenda by roll call; the disbursements for the period ending Jan. 20, 2026 were filed. The consent agenda passed by roll call vote with all present voting in favor.
There being no further business, Alderperson Dawson-Hoenes moved to adjourn, Alderperson Buhlig seconded, and the meeting adjourned at 7:02 p.m. City Clerk Katie Vitale then submitted the minutes.
