The Beardstown City Council voted Jan. 6, 2026 to accept a $16,698.68 bid from ESO for a new reporting system for the Beardstown Fire Department.
The council meeting, called to order by Mayor Tim Harris at 6:10 p.m. at Beardstown City Hall, began with roll call showing Alderpersons Keith Schramm, Allie Dawson‑Hoenes, Shawn Taylor, Eric Harbin, Mary Davis, Lisa Buhlig and Ron Culves present; Seward was listed as absent. Deputy Clerk Karen Gil was also recorded as present.
A motion by Alderperson Allie Dawson‑Hoenes, seconded by Mary Davis, approved the minutes of the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting with a correction that Eric Harbin had made a motion; that motion passed unanimously by voice vote. The council then approved the consent agenda under the omnibus vote designation on a motion by Eric Harbin, seconded by Shawn Taylor.
On the ESO procurement, a motion by Harbin, seconded by Buhlig, to accept the ESO bid for a reporting system for the Beardstown Fire Department in the amount of $16,698.68 carried 7‑0. The meeting transcript records the roll call yes votes as Taylor, Buhlig, Davis, Culves, Harbin, Schramm and Dawson‑Hoenes; there were no recorded no votes and Seward was absent.
The mayor reported no items, and the meeting adjourned at 6:24 p.m. on a motion by Buhlig, seconded by Harbin.
