Beardstown council approves minutes and consent agenda; Mayor sets Veterans Day memorial

The Beardstown City Council met Nov. 4, 2025, at Beardstown City Hall and approved the minutes from its Oct. 21 meeting and the consent agenda unanimously before adjourning at 6:35 p.m.
Alderperson Eric Harbin moved, and Allie Dawson-Hoenes seconded, "That the reading of the minutes from the meeting held October 21st, 2025 be dispensed with, that the minutes be approved as published." The motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Separately, a motion by Davis, seconded by Shawn Taylor, approved the consent agenda, which included disbursements for the period ending Nov. 4, 2025, under the Omnibus Vote Designation. That motion "passed unanimously by roll call vote." The transcript does not list individual vote names or a numeric tally.
During the Mayors report, Mayor Tim Harris announced a Veterans Day memorial to be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at the memorial wall at the park district at 11:00 a.m.
There were no public comments recorded at the meeting. With no further business, Alderperson Davis moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded by Allie Dawson-Hoenes and the meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m. The meeting had convened at 6:06 p.m.
