Board appoints Greg Lamp principal at Brea Junior High; promotes Fritzy Greg to child development director

The Brea Olinda Unified School District board announced two personnel actions reported out from closed session: the appointment of Greg Lamp as principal of Brea Junior High School effective July 1, 2026, and the appointment of Fritzy Greg as Administrative Director of Child Development Services effective June 12, 2026.

The board said the appointments were completed during a special closed session on June 8. The Lamp appointment was recorded on the readout with a motion by Trustee Ruiz and a second by Trustee Kovi. The board invited Lamp to address the room; he thanked family, district staff and his Brea Junior High "family," saying he was "filled with gratitude" and would lead with a "heart full of gratitude and a heart ready to move into the future." For the child development services role the board said the motion was made by Trustee Natalie Johnson and seconded by Joseph Cvy. The newly appointed director said they were honored to accept the position and acknowledged the Child Development Services staff and the district leadership who had supported them while they served as a temporary employee.

Both appointees were recognized with applause. The board's readouts also included a closed‑session action reassigning a certificated administrative employee (identified in the readout by the last four digits 4669) to a classroom teaching position pursuant to Education Code section 44951, effective June 30, 2026; the board directed the superintendent or designate to send appropriate legal notices.

The board will follow through with any required postings and administrative steps related to the personnel actions.
