Committee notes rocket launch, Sunbury Pride and the Second Saturday market

The committee recapped the second Saturday market’s recent 'furry friends' theme, which organizers estimated drew roughly 200 people over four hours and about 15 vendors; activities included a dog splash zone, a talent contest and a costume contest. Committee members thanked volunteers and noted the July Second Saturday market theme will be 'young entrepreneurs.'
Staff emphasized they will continue to notify renters of potential schedule conflicts (for example, rocket-launch days at Freedom Park) and will coordinate with event organizers on power needs, street usage and post-event cleanup.
