Board discusses potential "reverse tardies" policy but takes no action

Superintendent Mrs. Nehrmeyer said the district currently has no policy that converts tardies into absences and described how some other districts use a "reverse tardies" system where repeated tardies may result in an absence. Board President Edie Crall asked whether a doctor's appointment would be treated as an absence; Nehrmeyer replied that if a doctor's note is provided the absence would be excused.
Nehrmeyer said she is considering a possible policy change for 2026–27 and will keep the board informed; no motion, vote or policy language was presented on the record.
Because no formal action was taken, the matter remains under consideration by administration and the board.
