Oracle Elementary School District No.2 board approves personnel changes and recognizes staff and student

At its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting, the Governing Board of Oracle Elementary School District No.2 approved personnel actions recorded since the December meeting and recognized both an employee and a student.

The board accepted the resignation of Mylinda Ellis (Food Service Assistant) and approved the hiring of Alysea Valdez (Food Service Assistant, formerly a substitute). The board also approved athletics appointments: Bill Predgo (Baseball Head Coach); Michael Primero-Predgo (Baseball Assistant Coach); Jessica Rodriguez (Softball Head Coach); Patti Ellis (Softball Assistant Coach); Brianna Looney (Track and Field Head Coach); and Mike Smith (Track and Field Assistant Coach). Mrs. Taylor moved and Mrs. Crall seconded approval of personnel items; the motion carried unanimously.

Superintendent Nehrmeyer recognized Jessica Croci, Title I, as the District’s Exceptional Employee of the Month for January 2026, citing her daily support of students and colleagues at Mountain Vista K-8 School. The superintendent also recognized fourth-grade student Juniper Dewell as Exceptional Student of the Month. In his report Nehrmeyer highlighted a December Fueling the Future grocery distribution, higher student attendance compared with December 2024, steady enrollment, recognition of 45 students with perfect attendance in Quarter 2, and noted capital improvement updates will be provided monthly. He also recommended board attendance at the ASBA School Finance Bootcamp and announced postponement of the district’s 120-year anniversary celebration to 2030 (to mark the 125-year anniversary).
