Oracle USD No.2 sets class sizes for 2026–27, keeps Grades 5–8 at 30

In the motion approved by the board, Vice President Jeri Taylor moved to accept the superintendent’s recommendations with the exception of Grades 5–8, which the board set at 30 students; Member Sean Borland seconded and the motion carried with all members voting in favor. The board’s approval establishes the district’s enrollment and classroom planning parameters for next year.
The decision will inform staffing and classroom assignments as district administrators finalize hiring and scheduling. The board did not specify further demographic or programmatic limits tied to the open-enrollment capacities during the discussion.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for March 9, when employment contracts for hourly and salary staff for SY2026–27 are expected to appear on the agenda.
