Resident says planting complete at 239 Wolcott Road; commission awaits soil scientist report before permanent CO

Richard Dvarskas told the Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission that plantings requested for 239 Wolcott Road have been completed, excess material has been removed from the wetlands and that elevations were verified by Stephen Giudice. Dvarskas asked the commission to move the property from a temporary certificate of occupancy to a permanent certificate of occupancy.
Chairman William Tynan acknowledged the request but said the commission must first receive the soil scientist Ian Cole’s report before considering a change in occupancy status. The chairman noted he had reviewed the restoration application, restoration plan, permit and reporting requirements and reiterated the commission’s need for the soil scientist’s verification before taking action.
The 239 Wolcott Road item remains in old business; the commission did not vote on the certificate of occupancy at the June 8 meeting. Commissioners also discussed a site-monitor inspection report on a different matter (The Residence at Stone Ridge LLC) that was filed with the commission and noted a correction the chairman believed was needed regarding the guideline year referenced in that engineer’s report.
The commission asked staff to await Ian Cole’s report and to place the 239 Wolcott Road matter on a future agenda once the requested documentation is received.
