Recreation Coordinator Amanda Clair reported several recent and upcoming events to the commission.
She said the bowling banquet went well, with participants receiving trophies and pizza; she will send a thank‑you to Farmingbury Women’s Club. March Madness and the spring dance/chocolate‑making event also proceeded successfully, though a number of RSVPs arrived at the last minute.
Amanda Clair announced bingo will be held May 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the American Legion. She asked commissioners and residents to donate new or gently used items (no breakables, glass or candles, and no chewy candies) and said donations may be brought to the May meeting or dropped off at her mother’s house.
On Rainbow Camp, Clair said most campers are returning but one applicant is not potty trained and another would require one‑on‑one staffing. She said the commission will likely need to hire at least two — and possibly three — new staff and that outreach to the high school and additional open‑interview flyers are planned. She added that pavilion availability at town hall conflicted on two dates and those days were moved to the Youth Center.
