Chisago City council adopts state-standardized lodging tax ordinance

Rivers then moved to approve the resolution; Council member Mark Anderson seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.
The ordinance aligns local code with state collection procedures; Pechman said it enables coordinated administration with the Department of Revenue. The council took no further amendments. The action was recorded as Resolution 26-04-03 and Ordinance 338.
The council adjourned without additional action on tourism funding distribution; any operational changes will be implemented through the Chisago Tourism Bureau and state collection processes.
