Board adds and approves late medical inmate program agreement with state to take effect July 1

County Counsel requested the addition because the agreement arose after the agenda was posted and required immediate action. Counsel provided copies of the agreement to the board and public. The board found that the need for immediate action had arisen after the agenda posting, approved adding the item and then approved the agreement in the same meeting by roll call vote (5-0).
County counsel noted the identical agreement had been on the prior meeting's consent calendar but that the requested action was not reflected in the packet; the revised request required board approval before the July 1 effective date.
The clerk recorded the emergency agenda finding and vote; the agreement was authorized at the June 23 session.
