Plainfield honors Lions Club centennial and telecommunicators during April council meeting

A Lions representative noted the club has served Plainfield for 100 years and received photos with council members.
The council then recognized the Hendricks County 9‑1‑1 telecommunicators for the behind‑the‑scenes work of gathering information, assessing emergency situations and dispatching responders. Brandgard said telecommunicators’ dedication is a "cornerstone of our community safety." Attendees applauded and pictures were taken.
Both proclamations are ceremonial recognitions and do not create new obligations or funding requirements. The council encouraged residents to acknowledge the service of the Lions Club and 9‑1‑1 telecommunicators.
