Kristina Reser-Jaynes raised questions about transportation in the proposal, asking who would carry liability and how insurance would be handled. Members also asked the applicant to clarify whether the plan would use taxi vouchers or direct payments, what training and curriculum would be used for participants, and how the applicant derived the $2,000 cost figures included in the request.
After those concerns were discussed, Kristina Reser-Jaynes moved to decline the application; Dr. Martha Karlstad seconded the motion. The minutes record the motion passed unanimously.
The committee did not adopt the application and did not record any conditions for resubmission; members asked that the applicant return with clarifications if they wish to seek funding again.
The committee’s next meeting is set for April 16, when grant applications including McIntosh Memorial Library will be reviewed.
