Litchfield cable advisory council reviews finances; Altice stipend questions referred to Optimum representative

Gary Lafferty presented the treasurer’s report, saying the account opened at $4,748.52. Lafferty said the council issued five scholarship checks totaling $1,250 and paid $11.26 in postage related to mailing a W‑9, leaving a current balance of $3,487.26.
The report prompted discussion about the status of the council’s annual support stipends from Altice. Lafferty said questions remained about payment timing and amounts; Brian Smith, Optimum’s director for Connecticut government affairs, agreed to work directly with Lafferty to resolve the stipend questions and facilitate payment.
The council approved the minutes of the March 12 meeting as submitted and then adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
