Special Education Consult," which administrators said cost roughly $4,000 in prior years and is retained for occasional legal/consulting use. Trustees also approved interdistrict memoranda and a New Story placement agreement that district staff described as a last-resort, more restrictive placement option the district monitors closely.
Separately, trustees approved a special-education service agreement that lists a $15,000 per-student rate for partner placements in 2026–27; administrators said partnering with neighboring programs yields significant savings compared with independent IU placements. The board noted the district did not use some contingency agreements last year but voted to keep them in place to cover future enrollment moves or individual student needs.
All of the listed contract and agreement motions passed on roll-call votes.
