The council approved the consent agenda, which included the Feb. 24 regular meeting minutes, approval for Dennis Krotz and Edward Blacksheep to attend Water Operator Training on March 17, 2026 in Chadron, and Planning Commission‑approved building permits for a privacy fence at 145 Annin St and an addition and carport for PT Outlet. The council also authorized advertising for bids to hay fields by the Balloon building and old golf course and approved installation of a donated 40‑foot flagpole at the ballfields, donated by Crawford Serving Humanities.
Council approved hiring seasonal golf course staff for the 2026 season, including Missi Suchor as clubhouse manager and several part‑time clubhouse and grounds positions. The council approved submitting a grant proposal for an LED sign with the Post Office as the preferred site and the library as a backup. Council authorized a city‑funded appraisal for the Ponderosa Villa property. The council then approved claims, requisitions and transfers; the minutes list claims totaling $168,234.76. The meeting adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
