Board OKs $122,500 athletic‑trainer contract, approves program purchases and Seal of Biliteracy

At its final meeting of the school year the Springfield Township School District Board approved multiple contracts and program items the administration said are intended to support operations and instruction in 2026–27.

Personnel/contract: The board approved a master service agreement with AT Vantage LLC for athletic training staffing services at the middle and high schools for a total of $122,500. Superintendent Dr. Yanone said the district moved away from internal athletic‑trainer staffing because of statewide staffing shortages and will monitor the contracted approach year to year.

Data and instructional materials: The board approved an agreement with LinkIt for the district’s comprehensive data‑warehouse system for 2026–27; administration noted an additional module (Nav’i) carries a per‑student fee that will be finalized once next year’s student counts are known. The board also approved a Renaissance assessment and supplemental materials purchase for $28,310.75.

Special‑education and curriculum: Board members approved a tuition agreement with Comprehensive Learning Center Incorporated for the 2026–27 school year for student 202616‑1 at a total of $159,000. The academic affairs committee recommended, and the board approved, adoption of the Pennsylvania Seal of Biliteracy for eligible Springfield Township High School graduates starting with the class of 2026; the program recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in English and another language.
