Cheatham County commissioners authorized additional funds for courtroom livestream installation and approved a multi-year cloud phone-system agreement for the Cheatham County Health Department.
The body voted to allocate $1,980 for completing live-stream installation in the General Sessions courtroom (Resolution 4).
The meeting packet included a detailed Hiscall cloud-services quote and a 60-month service agreement for the Health Department. The contract lists seat counts, phone numbers, installation scope, monthly pricing and support terms. The mayor’s signature on the Hiscall contract was approved by voice vote (Resolution 11C). The packet also contained a SonicWall TZ370 firewall quote with a one‑year Hiscall support agreement for network security and installation (quote amount listed $2,255.75 for equipment and installation). The firewall and support plan were presented as part of the communications and IT upgrades in the packet; the minutes record the phone contract approval explicitly.
County staff will coordinate installation and any necessary network readiness work, and the cloud phone service agreement notes that customer internet and local network infrastructure are prerequisites for reliable service.
