Weeks emphasized the agreement covers surveying only; design and construction are not included.
Weeks said funding for the survey is in the approved streets and drainage capital improvement budget. Council member motioned, a second was received, and the council adopted the contract 4 to 0.
Council members noted the item represents an early but necessary step in a complex project and the importance of coordinating required letters and approvals as the plan moves toward MPO prioritization.
