North Logan City Council approved an ordinance to vacate a 10‑foot public utility easement along the east (rear) lot line of Lot 55 in the Mahogany Ridge Subdivision (3450 N 1930 E) during its May 20 meeting.
Aaron Thaxton presented the request, stating that no utilities currently exist within the easement and that nearby open space would provide alternate future utility access. The property owner requested the vacation to allow full use of the lot for landscaping and related improvements. Mayor Lyndsay Peterson opened the public hearing; no members of the public spoke.
Kenny Reese made the motion to approve the easement vacation and Emily Schmidt seconded. The council voted unanimously to approve the vacation with Buzzy Mullahkhel, Emily Schmidt, Kenny Reese, and Larry Hepworth recorded in favor.
