North Logan council adopts agenda, approves consent minutes and issues recognitions

The North Logan City Council adopted the meeting agenda and approved consent items at its May 20, 2026 meeting, and issued several proclamations and recognitions.
Mayor Lyndsay Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Emily Schmidt moved to adopt the agenda; Buzzy Mullahkhel seconded and the motion passed unanimously with four councilmembers voting in favor. The council then approved the consent items — the May 6, 2026 minutes for City Council, the Local Building Authority and the Re‑Development Agency — by unanimous vote.
The council recognized Danny Wells as the city’s Exemplary Staff Member for leadership and contributions in the Streets Department. R. William Lusk, representing the state emergency management community, presented the Utah Emergency Management Association Community Impact Award to Sandy Spendlove for founding and developing the North Logan Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Councilmember Buzzy Mullahkhel read a proclamation honoring Spendlove’s work. Councilmember Kenny Reese read a proclamation declaring May 20, 2026, Law Enforcement Appreciation Day to recognize the service of the North Park Police Agency.
The meeting proceeded to public hearings and new business after routine approvals and recognitions.
