Board approves consent agenda, including $9 million transfer to capital fund and an off-cycle $17,560 grant

The Mamaroneck Board of Education approved a broad consent agenda at its June meeting that included personnel actions, contract approvals, vendor awards, and a $9,000,000 transfer from capital-project reserves into the district capital fund.

During the consent-agenda portion, the clerk listed items a–f (minutes, personnel actions, agreements and amendments, budget transfers, acceptance of special-program arrangements and gifts). The board moved, seconded and approved the consent agenda by voice vote.

Among the resolutions approved: a measure to dispose of unused ballots from the May 20, 2025 budget vote; authorization to enter a memorandum of agreement with the Association of School Administrators dated June 2, 2026; approvals of salary and benefit adjustments for unaffiliated employees for the 2026–27 school year; and several reserve-account and budget-increase resolutions.

Notably, the board voted to authorize a $9,000,000 budget increase "to enable the district's transfer funds from the reserve for capital projects 2025 to the capital fund as approved by the voters on May 19," the clerk read. The board also delegated authority to the superintendent to accept bids for electricity and natural gas pursuant to a cooperative bid and required the superintendent to report any actions taken under that delegation in writing within 24 hours. Finally, the board accepted an off-cycle grant award of $17,560 from the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation to support a world-history bridge program.
