PZC approves relocation of landscaping buffer for Simoniz site on Boston Turnpike

The Bolton Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously on June 14 to approve a modification to a previously approved landscaping buffer for the Simoniz property at 201 Boston Turnpike.
Applicant W. Hibbard requested that the buffer originally approved between #11 and #15 Williams Road be relocated to lie between #15 and #17 Williams Road, noting the properties are owned by the same party and #15 is now an empty lot. Director of Community Development Patrice Carson told the commission this placement ‘‘within a zone rather than between zones’’ is an appropriate regulatory approach in the circumstances.
Commissioner Adam Teller moved to approve the Simoniz, Inc. modification according to the plan dated June 3, 2015, as revised May 9, 2017; Commissioner James Cropley seconded. The motion passed 7-0-0.
The minutes record the commission's approval but do not list conditions or a required follow-up inspection; any implementation or enforcement will be handled through the town's site-plan and zoning-permit processes.
