Bolton planning commission discusses draft irregular‑lot rules, tables approval of Feb. 8 minutes

Patrice Carson, AICP, director of community development, presented a draft of proposed irregular‑lot regulations and member Adam Teller distributed an additional draft with suggested edits. Commissioners focused on language that would limit creation of rear lots — during discussion members cited proposals such as allowing only one rear lot for every five lots approved in a subdivision and requiring a minimum acreage for such lots. Carson said she will bring a revised draft to the commission’s next meeting.
The commission did not take action on a listed item to approve an Official Revised Zoning Map.
Votes at a glance: the commission voted 6–0 to table approval of the Feb. 8, 2017 regular meeting minutes after member Christopher Preuss moved to table and Christopher Davey seconded. Nancy Silverstein moved to adjourn and Adam Teller seconded; that motion also passed 6–0 and the meeting ended at 9:00 p.m.
In correspondence, member Arlene Fiano submitted notice that a memorial and commemorative bench ceremony for Jeff Heffman is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 22 at Heritage Farm.
The commission’s next steps: staff will prepare a revised draft of the irregular‑lot regulations for future consideration.
