Union City council approves 2024 paving payments, authorizes millings to American Legion

Councilor Steadman moved the disbursement and Councilor Kerns seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The council also passed a resolution applying $15,625 in County Aid to the Suit-Kote seal-coat payment (motion by Councilor Joyce, second by Councilor Osborn; unanimous).
On material reuse, Street Supervisor Bob Phillips reported that millings must be ground before re-use; Union Township agreed to truck and grind the material and will track quantities used. Council agreed to previously approved distribution to Evergreen Cemetery and additionally authorized supplying 2–3 loads of millings to the American Legion ballfield to address driveway issues (motion by Councilor Osborn, second by Councilor Joyce; carried unanimously).
