County staff told the commission the two changes were reviewed with the finance director and the county attorney and produced no objections. “We added an additional payment of $2,500 to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter to assist with the spay and neuter clinic fees annually,” the staff member said.
Commissioners made and seconded a motion to approve the revised agreement and asked staff to forward the document to the City of Libby so the city could place it on its agenda for consideration.
The approval on the county side was recorded as a voice vote; the record shows commissioners indicated their support by saying “aye,” and no roll-call tally was provided in the minutes. The staff member said they would deliver the agreement to Libby for the city’s action.
The agreement covers fiscal arrangements between Lincoln County and the City of Libby for animal control services for the 2026–27 period. Specific contractual language and the final effective date will depend on any edits made by the city when it considers the item.
