Duluth proposes scoring system to prioritize pedestrian street-lighting requests

The outline presented would rank requests by measurable criteria and recommend staff action for those scoring 50 or above. Council discussed prioritization and agreed staff should include a line item in the upcoming budget to cover requests that cannot yet be specifically identified.
The presentation asked council to adopt the scoring approach as the operating method for spot pedestrian-lighting requests and to fund an initial pool of projects through the coming budget process.
