Otsego Planning Commission holds master plan workshop; October meeting date set

At its Aug. 26 meeting the Otsego City Planning Commission conducted a public forum/workshop to gather input on updating the city master plan. Lori Costello of PCI led commissioners and an audience member through a SWOT analysis and several exercises on planning goals, housing priorities, and spending priorities; she told the commission she will return with a Draft Master Plan for review.
During public comment, City Manager Mitchell noted that Early Voting will occupy City Hall in October, so the commission discussed an alternate date and agreed to hold the October meeting on Oct. 14, 2024; commissioners also concluded the meeting could remain at City Hall. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. on a motion by Member Gary Trobeck, seconded by Member Wayne Rayburn.
Costello's workshop will inform a draft that staff and the commission will review in a future meeting; no formal action on the master plan text was taken at this session.
