Brown County commissioners completed several routine actions Monday, approving a three-year reappointment, reassigning a board seat, and awarding a facilities contract.
The board reappointed Laura Young to a three-year term on the Centerstone board beginning July 1; Young said she appreciates local support for Centerstone's services and noted the organization's work with local law enforcement and corrections. The reappointment was seconded and approved by roll call.
Commission business also included a reassignment of a Music Center Management Board seat: one commissioner said he would step down from that seat and motioned to transfer it to Commissioner Kevin; the board approved the change by roll call.
On facilities, staff discussed coordination and weekend scheduling for repairs at the Ruth B. Soul Park office. The commissioners voted to accept Artisan Roofing's proposal for $22,558.87 for the project. A commissioner asked that weekend work be coordinated so staff or a designated approver can authorize any additional decking beyond the planned scope.
The meeting also included standard claims and minutes approvals earlier in the agenda; a motion to approve passed on a unanimous roll call.
