Select Board members Pamela Grotton and Claudia Orff-Reed voted 2-0 to approve the April 22 minutes, create the Facebook account with no comments allowed, and authorize purchases and personnel actions. Claudia Orff-Reed moved to appoint Donald Waltz as the town maintenance worker at $30 an hour; Pamela Grotton seconded and the motion passed. The board also approved the purchase of two dehumidifiers and a key box.
During public comment, resident Bruce Sedgwick asked about an ordinance to prevent two members of the same household from serving together on a town committee. The board voted 2-0 to ask the Planning Board to draft such an ordinance for future consideration.
Administrator Tabatha MacArthur reported tax-acquired property letters were mailed April 30, 2026. The board directed Donald Waltz to obtain a quote for heat-pump installation for unspecified town facilities and authorized MacArthur to contact Donnie's Tree Service to drop trees for removal, with Road Commissioner Wayne Johnston to handle cleanup and chipping. Johnston separately reported he had replaced two culverts in the right of way on North Mountain Road.
The board signed warrants in the amount of $64,049.99. Claudia Orff-Reed moved to adjourn at 7:20 p.m.; Pamela Grotton seconded and the motion passed 2-0. No votes failed or were tabled during the meeting.
