Commissioners approve software, inspection and grant agreements, plus a road change order

"We're requesting approval to enter into an agreement with our current software company, IWorks, for new building permit software at a cost of 19,088," the building representative said.
The board approved an agreement with Boca Consulting to perform routine 2026 bridge inspections in the amount of $35,000 (non-general fund), and an agreement with Commercial Truck and Trailer for parts and repairs to a fleet vehicle (estimated at $4,500). Facilities staff requested a $2,935 agreement with A&M Doors and Supply to replace a courthouse door (general funds), and engineering presented change order number 10 with Brutch and Gab Excavating for the Western Reserve Road Widening Division 1 project for $8,908.80 (non-general fund). A record of bids for traffic signal maintenance named Main Line Electric.
On grants, the board approved an amendment with SSBLC for additional services in an estimated amount of $50,000 and accepted a Nopec community grant for $6,515. Job & Family Services presented an amendment extending a contract with Certified Languages International LLC through June 30, 2027. The prosecutor's office asked for and the board approved resolutions supporting grant applications to the Ohio Attorney General: VOCA funds of $120,889.60 and State Victims Assistance Act funds of $10,856 to cover prosecutor expenses from Oct. 1 through next Sept.
The motions to approve the agreements and resolutions were moved, seconded and carried by roll call. Several commissioners recorded affirmative votes during roll calls reported in the transcript.
Minutes and a journal entry were also approved earlier in the meeting. The board adjourned following the approved motions.
