Council approves $210,000, three-year Alliant contract for employee health-benefits consulting

The Nacogdoches City Council on June 16 approved a three-year contract with Alliant Insurance Services to provide employee health-benefits consulting at a total contract amount of $210,000.
HR Director Britney Tucker recommended the contract after the city’s RFQ process and introduced Alliant representatives Tim Brown and Bob Tracy. Tim Brown described Alliant’s public-sector practice and said the firm’s goal is to “help you control your health plan spend,” adding the company works with municipalities, counties and school districts across the state.
No substantive objections were raised. A councilor moved to approve the contract as outlined in RFQ26-10-106; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
The contract is structured to run three years with the stated total amount of $210,000, and Alliant representatives said they would work with the HR and benefits team to seek plan efficiencies.
