Marion County commissioners approve consent calendar including appointments, contract amendments and grant adjustment

The Marion County Board of Commissioners approved its consent calendar on Jan. 22, confirming several appointments, administrative pay‑range adjustments and a series of contract amendments for county health services.
The board approved an order appointing Dick Withnell to the Marion County Children and Families Commission through Jan. 31, 2018 and approved appointment and reappointments to the Marion County Compensation Board for a one‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2014 (Deryk Kernan; reappointments for Alice Berntson, Jerry Bumgarner, Jason Herber and Tracy Warren).
Human Resources pay‑range adjustments approved included: contracts specialist from 06.C49 to 06.C50; senior contracts specialist from 06.C51 to 06.C53; and senior administration services manager from 02.A26 to 02.A28.
Health services contract amendments listed on the consent calendar to provide outpatient mental health services through the Integrated Delivery System and extend terms through Dec. 31, 2014 included amendment #3 for Northwest Human Services (+$553,085); amendment #4 for Valley Mental Health (+$3,375,892); amendment #4 for Bridgeway Recovery Services, Inc. (+$189,088); amendment #4 for Options Counseling Services of Oregon, Inc. (+$1,747,985); amendment #4 for Catholic Community Services, Inc. (+$780,720); and amendment #4 for New Perspectives Center for Counseling & Therapy LLC (+$2,580,074). The board also approved amendment #2 to add $103,000 to the contract with John Michael Sholar, PMHNP, to provide psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner services for the adult behavioral health program.
On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, the board approved an amendment to reduce Oregon Emergency Management State Homeland Security Grant base funding from $237,427 to $103,840 and extend the grant period to June 30, 2014. The board also approved a property tax refund to Donahue Schriber Realty Group, LP in the amount of $19,791.98.
Commissioner Janet Carlson moved approval of the consent calendar; Commissioner Patti Milne seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
