Oneida County committee approves LTE clerk positions, hears IT and HR updates

The Executive Committee approved LTE staffing renewals for the County Clerk’s Office to support the Board of Canvass, heard IT updates about Bug Tussel facility connections and discussed resuming an annual HR in-service program.
At its June 17, 2026 meeting, the Oneida County Executive Committee approved a request from County Clerk Tracy Hartman for 2027 LTE (limited-term employment) positions to support the Board of Canvass and forwarded the request to the Budget Hearing. The motion by Ted Cushing, seconded by Debbie Condado, passed with all votes recorded as “Aye.”
The committee also received departmental updates. Administrative Coordinator and County Clerk Tracy Hartman said Smigielski prepared the financial packet included in the meeting materials and Chairman Billy Fried noted the county’s new Finance Director will begin work on July 20, 2026. IT Director Jason Rhodes told the committee that ITS is waiting on hardware, is working with Bug Tussel on a project to place lines between county facilities (connections the county will be able to use for the next 30 years) and that Bug Tussel will test the connections once complete. Rhodes also reported the Human Service Center migration is ongoing and that staff discussed transitioning to Office 365 and an outdoor pick-up box for Public Health.
Human Resource Director Jenni Lueneburg said LRES intends to resume annual in-service training for employees in a budget-friendly format and provided an update on recent hires, promotions and staffing changes. The Treasurer submitted no report. The committee noted the next meeting is anticipated for July 15, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
