RSU 67 approves multiple personnel nominations, contract extensions and 2026–27 salaries

The RSU 67 school board approved several personnel actions at its June 17 meeting, including teacher appointments, an administrative nomination for special education leadership, multi-year contract extensions for district administrators and the district’s contracted salary and benefit schedule for 2026–2027.
The board accepted the superintendent’s nomination of Jessica Sutherland as an ELA teacher at Baden Academy for the 2026–2027 school year after correcting the year stated aloud (a clerk initially read 2025–2026). The nomination was moved and seconded and recorded as approved.
The board also approved the superintendent’s nomination of Mary Brigham as special education director for 2026–2027 with a listed salary of $84,872 plus $16,000 in the IDEA director stipend pending grant approval, and standard accompanying benefits. The nomination was moved by Bill and seconded by Tim and carried.
Separately, the board voted to extend contracts through June 30, 2028 for several administrators: Heather Rockwell (director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment); Sarah Hainer (principal of Maden Early Learning Center Junior High); Jessica Johnson (principal, L.E. Berger); Tim Baker (assistant principal, L.E. Berger); Lucas Turner (principal, Maden Early Learning Academy); and Jeremy Weatherbee (assistant principal, Maden Early Learning Academy).
Finally, the board approved salaries and benefits for contracted personnel, administrators and directors for the 2026–2027 school year.
