RSU 67 board adopts FY 2026–27 budget and authorizes $471,200 renovation financing

The Regional School Unit 67 school board on June 17 adopted the FY 2026–2027 budget and approved a resolution to authorize $471,200 in financing for the school revolving renovation fund.

The board voted to approve the computation and declaration of votes dated June 17, 2026 and to enter those records into RSU 67’s files and send certified copies to municipal clerks, completing the procedural steps required to finalize the budget. Diana moved the budget adoption and Bill seconded; the motion carried.

Board members then accepted the referendum vote computations for the school revolving renovation question and entered those results into district records. During the readback a speaker misstated the district number verbally as “regional school unit number 77”; the record and motions apply to RSU 67.

Following the referendum, the board moved to approve a resolution authorizing $471,200 in school revolving renovation financing. A board member said the district’s bank had approved the financing earlier that day; the resolution was moved, seconded and approved.

The actions formalize both the district’s operating budget for the coming year and the financing vehicle for planned renovation work. The board instructed staff to file an attested copy of the resolution in the meeting minutes and to distribute certified copies of the vote computations to municipal clerks as required.

The board noted no roll-call tallies in the public portion of the record beyond the motion and second; motions were recorded as carried in the meeting minutes. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 5, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
