A nearby resident and notified neighbor, Larry Mullins, spoke in support.
Board members asked about construction materials; Martinez Castro said the porch would be treated wood to match the house. After discussion, a motion to approve the variance passed on a roll‑call vote, with board members indicating unanimous support.
