West Hanover board approves payroll, vouchers, park court work and a planning commission appointment; recognizes local Girl Scout

At its June 22 meeting the West Hanover Township Board of Supervisors approved a slate of routine financial and personnel items and recognized local volunteers.
Financial motions included approvals for May 26 gross payroll ($60,893.18), June 9 gross payroll ($64,078.65), and May vouchers totaling $447,631.49. The board also approved a series of security and stormwater financial adjustments for specific properties as reviewed by HRG and staff.
Parks and Recreation brought forward a Co-Stars vendor proposal from Brennaman Corporation to restore the lower multi-purpose courts at Lanker Park for $24,900. Staff said the project will be paid from land-dedication (FILO) funds; the board approved the contract.
Supervisors filled a vacancy on the Planning Commission by appointing Paula Walter as an alternate. The board also presented Resolution 2026-30 recognizing Noel Hague for completing a Girl Scout Gold Award project that created 'Sprout,' a community garden at the West Hanover Rec Center that contains 16 five-by-five plots and supports food-bank donations and a fall festival.
Board members also reviewed Parks & Rec event scheduling and encouraged public engagement for upcoming community activities, while staff noted ongoing outreach on waste collection performance with Republic Services.
