Joan and Catherine said the Inn has spent about $10,000 planting large arborvitae to screen a back patio, added three parking spaces this spring, put up additional signage to deter guests from entering private condo property, and uses parking attendants at events. The owners said they have worked informally with Pine Terrace condominium leaders and offered to pay for construction of a sidewalk on Lisbon Road as a goodwill measure to improve pedestrian access.
Rebecca Steiner, an HOA board member for Pine Terrace, told the council she surveyed neighbors and found largely positive responses on restoration, landscaping and neighborliness but asked for better measures to prevent trespassing and reduce occasional outdoor music and event‑related impacts on private roads. Mon Bijou said it has sought to reduce event scale and keeps a parking attendant at events to direct guests.
Council members thanked both sides and urged continued communication; staff encouraged the parties to keep meeting to refine solutions before the next annual update.
