Separately, the board authorized a capital lease for TV/IT equipment and directed the chair to sign documents recommended by the senior director of finance; staff reported an interest rate near 4.19% at the time of the meeting. The board also approved a bid waiver and purchase from Applied Concepts for about $11,850.50 to replace a radio unit the department said could not be repaired; staff said the replacement would push a single-vendor total above the $10,000 threshold but that funds existed in the department’s budget.
