Board approves tax exemptions, credits and claims; directs sealed bids for Recycle Center lease

On motions recorded in the minutes, the Board approved two impoundment-structure property tax-exemption applications for the 2026–2027 tax year and 11 family farm credit applications for the 2026–2027 tax year (Ayes: 3). The Board also approved payroll and claims as listed in the minutes (Payroll #50740-50854; Handwritten EFT Claims #5201-5203; ACH Claim #5213; Claims #5204-5212 and #5214-5240; Secondary Roads Claims #31528-31554).
The Board acknowledged receipt of a notice of ownership transfer for a confinement feeding operation (from Steve Robinson to Ryan Saxton; Robinson Small Barn — Facility #66059) and a four-year Manure Management Plan (MMP) update for Jason Johnson (C&K Hog Farms, LLC — Facility #64388).
Following continued discussion of the draft operator agreement for the County Recycle Center, the Board directed the County Auditor to publish an advertisement requesting sealed bids to operate and lease the facility beginning July 1, 2026. Bids must be submitted to the Auditor's office by 4:30 PM on April 23, 2026; the Board will open bids during its April 27, 2026 meeting.
