Pipestone Area School Board approves financial reports, E-Learning plan and operational contracts

The Pipestone Area School Board on Oct. 27 approved routine financial reports and several operational items at its regular meeting.
Board motions approved the treasurer’s report for the month ended Sept. 30, 2025 (cash balance $9,477,817.70) and the MN Trust 2023A Bonds treasurer’s report (cash balance $856,035.06). The board authorized payment of regular bills totaling $544,690.99 through Oct. 21, 2025 and high school activity bills totaling $6,916.36. Those motions passed by unanimous vote of members present.
The board also unanimously approved the 2025-2026 E-Learning Plan (motion by Board member Daphne Likness, second by Clerk Christina DeBates), and approved a quote for 2025-2026 snow removal from Outlaw Customs (motion by Mark Hiniker, second by Christina DeBates). Member Tyler Fruechte moved and Clerk Christina DeBates seconded a resolution of the governing board supporting a Form A application to the Minnesota State High School League Foundation; that motion carried unanimously.
In informational reports recorded in the minutes, the board noted certified staff had reached a tentative agreement. Superintendent Dr. Klint Willert reported on facility items including the elementary gym floor and roofing, the strategic plan, MSBA leadership conference attendance, and other district operational matters. Principal Jennifer Moravetz and staff reported on school events, screenings and student programs. The meeting adjourned at 8:02 PM.
