Pipestone Area Schools board adopts multiple policies, handbooks and personnel appointments
Summary
The school board unanimously approved a slate of policies, multiple handbooks for the 2025–26 year, accepted donations, approved auditing and transportation contracts, and appointed a Federal Title Representative and Homeless Liaison.
At its July 28, 2025 meeting, the Pipestone Area Schools board conducted several routine governance actions, approving a wide set of policies, handbooks and contracts and accepting donations for school programs.
The board approved policies 418, 501, 503, 506, 514, 515, 516.5, 534, 550, 551, 602, 606.5, 613, 620, 621, 707, 709, 722, 802 and 806 by motion; Policy 524 was pulled for further review and returned to the board at a later date. Separately, the board approved Policy 524.5 (Personal Electronic Communication Devices).
The board approved the 2025–26 Little Arrows pre-school handbook, the Elementary handbook and the Activities handbook, and later approved the 2025–26 Employee handbook. The district also approved a 2025–26 lease with Heartland Colony.
By resolution the board accepted donations including a $200 gift from Christ the King to the Wellness Room and materials to the school library from Meinders Community Library.
Personnel and vendor approvals included appointment of Jennifer Moravetz as Federal Title Representative and Homeless Liaison; approval of Meulebroeck, Taubert, and Co. for FY25 auditing services; and approval of a transportation addendum with Ludolph Bus, Inc. All listed motions carried unanimously.
