Permits roundup: Dennis commission signs septic upgrades, pool plan (contingent), and administrative orders

At its March 19 meeting the Dennis Conservation Commission cleared a slate of routine permitting and administrative items.
Asa Mintz of AJM Site Design reported revisions to a septic upgrade at 25 New Boston Road, including removing a small patio to allow natural revegetation and shifting a shed away from the wetland; commissioners closed the hearing and signed the order of conditions. John O’Reilly presented a septic replacement at 20 Oak Street that replaces two cesspools with a dual-compartment tank, pump chamber and a percrite system keeping five feet above groundwater; commissioners approved Positive 5 and Negative 2 determinations.
Ryan Maguire, trustee of the Maguire Family Living Trust, proposed a small plunge pool at 22 Beachview Road and said he would replace an existing 25x25 cement driveway with crushed stone and use a pervious patio. Commissioners issued Positive 5 and Negative 2 determinations but made approval contingent on receiving revised plans showing the asphalt driveway removed and a pervious-surface plan.
The commission also signed orders of conditions (SE162820, SE162821) and issued a certificate of compliance for SE16-2793 after staff reported deviations were minor. Staff noted enforcement citations related to a Bayview/Aroney matter have been appealed and will be addressed in magistrate proceedings in May. The commission announced that plover monitoring resumes April 1 and herring counts at Bound Brook/Scargo will run April 1 through mid-June; staff invited volunteers and scheduled a training session on March 24.
