Planning & Zoning recommended approval.
Council members expressed concerns about possible ancillary sales—sexual paraphernalia, paraphernalia linked to illicit drugs and "pseudo‑gambling" devices—and requested that staff and legal craft enforceable prohibitions if the council wished to approve the SUP. One council member said, "I'd almost say... I'll probably move to table this until we can get lawyers consultation on this." (Council discussion.)
Staff later reported the applicant had a medical emergency and was not present to answer questions; with several members seeking legal wording and a product list, council voted to table the item and invited staff to return with recommended verbiage and any required restrictions.
