One elevator unit was described as operational but remains unavailable for use until the required inspection is complete; the project was described as about 30 days into a 60-day timeline.
Staff also reported that live-scan fingerprinting training occurred on June 9 and that the system is functionally operational: required background checks completed during training were successful. However, the live-scan device is currently associated with the Elwood City OI number in the state system; Pennsylvania State Police were notified and are expected to remotely change the OI assignment to Lawrence County. Officials said the issue is a numeric assignment in the state system and that 911 center access is unaffected.
County leaders described these items as operational issues being actively managed; no additional budget approvals or emergency repairs were authorized in the public portion of the meeting.
