Elk Horn Public Library reports services, maintains Tier 3 accreditation

Paulette Madson, director of the Elk Horn Public Library, presented a services report to the Audubon County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 17 outlining library membership, programs and amenities. Madson said the Elk Horn library is accredited as a Tier 3 library and that accreditation is renewed annually.
The report summarized the number of members who use the library and the programs offered; Madson provided the information for supervisors' review as part of regular departmental updates. Chairman Kent Grabill also briefed the board on progress regarding a Gray Highway Memorial Sign and said Planning and Zoning staff will work with the individual proposing the sign on placement details; Grabill said final arrangements will take time but the project is underway.
No formal action or funding decision for the library or the sign placement was recorded at the Feb. 17 meeting.
